The Wisconsin Children’s Choir offers three developmental levels of treble choirs for children entering grades 3 through 12.

Concert Choir:
Choristers from grades 3 - 8, with an emphasis on vocal and theory training, along with performance skills, learning and performing more complex choral literature up to three-part harmony.

Our advanced touring choir; an ensemble of high school and advanced middle school choristers with performance experience and developed musical skills, able to perform challenging and extensive (primarily four-part, but often more!) chorale literature.

Chamber Choir:
A twelve voice sub-set of older choristers from Chorale who take on even more advanced, four-part acappella music.

Selection for choristers is by audition.

Monday rehearsal times
Music Theory: 5:15-5:45 p.m.
Concert Choir: 5:45-7:15 p.m.
Chorale: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Chamber Choir: 8:30-9:00 p.m.

All choirs rehearse regularly from September to late May. Performance schedules vary for each choir, but all three perform the Choir’s winter and spring events, including several pieces together as a massed choir.

Chorale is our touring group. The tour usually takes place in late June. Chorale continues to rehearse for the the 2-3 weeks between the spring Concert and tour departure. Recent tours include the North Eastern Tour of 2003 and the South Eastern Tour of 2004. The 2005 Tour includes performances in southern England and participation in the International Children's Choral Festival 2005. Our 2006 Tour took us across the provinces of Ontario and Quebec, Canada. Our 2007 Tour covered over 5,000 miles - California and back. Our 2008 Tour took us through the north central states. On our 2009 Tour we visited Philadelphia and New York City. In 2010, we toured the Midwest (Ohio & Kentucky).

Auditions are held in August, January, and May. For more information, call (608) 233-1227.We extend an invitation for enrichment, growth and fun that promises to last a lifetime.
