Letter from Fargo/Moorhead
POSTCARD FROM MOORHEAD-OR IS IT FARGO? THURSDAY, JUNE 19, 2008

Gorgeous, gorgeous sunny day was with us the whole day!

We all got to sleep in a bit later since we knew we did not have a long
drive to make it to our Thursday night events. After gathering back at
First United Methodist Church, complete with two new toddler friends, we
said our goodbyes and waved so long to everyone there. Only one potty
stop and a few hours to West Fargo where we stopped at the historic
village of Bonanza Ville. We had a place to picnic and then had several
hours to explore the old original buildings that had been moved to the
site, including a great Lutheran church that is still used for weddings
and celebrations. Interesting curved pews in this lovely chapel. Not
only did the life size museum have the original structures and a lot of
antiques, it displayed generations of certain items such as telephones,
tractors, weapons and cars. Kids sang for visitors in the theater and
we departed for our hosts in Moorhead.

Arriving at Grace United Methodist Church, the choir had a nice
opportunity to rehearse in the sanctuary and visit before our pizza
supper - super good! - served by our hosts, the Lake Agassiz Girls Choir
and their manager, Cecilee. Choristers had an opportunity to visit with
some of our hosts, got dressed and warmed up their tired voices for the
concert.

We had a small audience, but very appreciative of our music, and of
course, the kids did a nice job. Maybe a bit too much fresh air,
because they were slightly showing wear, but still definitely a show
worth seeing!

And unbelievably, LAGC families took huge chunks of kids home with them:
one house took 13!! Another house took 8!!! WOW! Thanks so much for
taking us on! Come to Madison sometime!

Til next time,
