POSTCARD FROM MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- Saturday, June 26, 2010
Unbelievable that our Good Samaritan chaperones were actually SMILING when the adults arrived at the church to pick up the crew. Great report cards all around for attitude, helpfulness and behavior that of course makes all of us proud to hear! We said goodbye to the two kids who had to depart for Music Clinic and the rest of us headed out for an ENTIRE DAY at Mall of America!!!
Yes, the economy is thriving after our bus full spent the day at MOA. They had a terrific time. Some kids even added rides to their day of fun. We had another choir alum join us during the day, so we had Molly, Brigid and Mary Kate just couldn't keep away-and we loved having them along just like old times!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA AND MARY KATE!
We split into three groups for dinner at the mall, and then gathered for the ride back to the hotel. After a tour wrap up get together, birthday cake and senior speeches, kids headed to their rooms for socializing and to the pool for yet one more half hour before they need to be in their own rooms. I suspect we will be serenaded tonight by a huge thunder storm rolling through, but we're all safe and sound here for our last night on the road.
We'll be seeing you soon.
Sue
